BTCB2 is a continuous Bitcoin monetary chain that keeps the network focused on peer-to-peer money, while replacing SHA-256d proof-of-work with BLAKE2b. It intentionally moves away from using the blockchain as general-purpose data storage, keeping the protocol centered on sound, decentralized value transfer.
